Community Manager at Eastnine
Eastnine is a new audio coaching service for runners built around the idea that it’s better to train with others. Working with professional athletes and coaches from Team GB and beyond, we’re building a digital training platform to give you structured audio running sessions and creative sports content when and where you want it. And we’re making each session interactive so it feels like you’re always running with others and getting an extra push from them.
We’re looking for a passionate and creative Community Manager to join our team in London and help us build an active, engaged community of runners.
Amongst our backers and team are Local Globe, Cherry Ventures and founders and leaders from businesses such as Boiler Room, Virgin, Skype, Supercell and Spotify. As part of this team, you would be responsible for building deeper engagement with the community; identifying opportunities, managing communications, events, social media and content creation, as well as building relationships with key influencers.
You should have a true passion for running, a keen eye for detail and be comfortable to work in a fast-paced startup, managing multiple projects in an ever-changing environment.
You should also be comfortable to plan and attend industry events and play a part in building our approach to brand and community building. We want to be gathering learning and insights from our members and feeding insights into the product and engineering team.
You’ll be writing content and dealing with customer service issues in the same day. We need positivity and commitment to our community of early users all day long.
Be the primary face and host of our community, hosting events and directly engaging with our members, managing feedback loops into the business
Manage and grow our presence across social media through creating and curating interesting and relevant content
Research and implement various strategies to grow the Eastnine following
Monitor performance, reporting regularly against objectives and targets
Collaborate with our coaches and ambassadors to create compelling content for use across all social channels
Conduct and manage research initiatives, working with the Head of Talent & Community to enable us to stay ahead of what our community want and need
Lead event planning, design and production and manage project delivery within time and budget limits
Attend relevant industry events, representing the company to potential partners and identifying future opportunities
Previous experience managing and growing online communities
Deep understanding of and passion for running, fitness and sport in general
Experience delivering high quality creative content (copy, image, video)
Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
A general understanding of wider marketing functions
Strong analytical skills
Highly proactive, entrepreneurial and self-motivated with a strong work ethic and go-getter attitude
Efficient and organised with the ability to work across multiple projects
Willingness to get hands dirty and roll with the changes in a start-up environment!
